Verena Marjory (Davidson) Kirkpatrick, 85, of Sarnia, Ontario, peacefully passed away on Monday, 28 August, 2023, after a long illness.
Verena was born on 21 May, 1938 to James and Nellie (Dean) Davidson in the city of Sarnia. She graduated from S.C.I.T.S. High School, then attended Sarnia Business College.
Following graduation, she worked at Polysar for over eight years, until the birth of her second child. Verena always spoke well of Polysar, and loved what she did for a living.
She married David Clare Millard on 1 May, 1959. Verena and Dave went on to have two children, Karen Lyn Millard and Brian David Millard. Sadly, David Millard died at only 39 years old, in 1973.
On 7 September, 1974, Verena married Clifford Elton Kirkpatrick, of Yale, Michigan, who added two children from a previous marriage to the family: Kathleen Leona Kirkpatrick (Raczak) and Brian Carl Kirkpatrick.
Verena worked part-time for several years as a Clerk in the Supreme Court, until she was forced into early retirement by ill health.
Verena was predeceased by her parents, both her first and second husbands, and her stepdaughter. She is survived by three children, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
