Ruby Alicia May Highgate passed away peacefully at her home in Toronto, Ontario on November 1, 2023 at the age of 93. Born in Freemont, Saskatchewan, "Aunt Bee" was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, godmother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was known for her kindness, her humour and her beautiful singing voice.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Eva May Lawson, her sisters Cora Brown (Stephen), Shirley Sparks (Vincent), Carol Graham (Chris), and her brothers Arnold (Dorothy), Lawrence (Patricia), and Albert (Norma). She is survived by her sisters Ida Morton (Late Douglas), Lydia Loppie (Late James), Jean Scherger (Late Jerry), Ava Lewsey (Norman) and her brother, Alec (Late Lois). She is also survived by her five children Michael, Quinn (Joanna), Boyd, Denise, and Colleen, her grandchildren Keenan, Jordan, Ciera, Kadeem, Zachariah, and Isaiah, and her great grandchildren Keenan Jr., Amir, and Ayah.

A woman who was always ready to help and comfort others, Ruby will be dearly missed by her many relatives and friends.
