It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert Roland announces his peaceful passing on May 24, 2023, at the age of 74 years, at Kensington Hospice, Toronto.

Rob will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Palmer; stepson, Ryan Ebner (Helene Sourdeau, wife), and stepdaughter Ashley Ebner Ajmera (Ativ Ajmera, husband); loving grandfather to Arthur, Sebastian, Theo, and Celestine; Rob will be terribly missed by his brother and friend John Roland and Debra Gibbs (wife); he was also a proud uncle to his nephews Jeremy and Dameon and niece Meagan.

A special mention to all of Rob’s “Ryerson Fraternity Brothers” who provided wonderful support and friendship to him over the years; He will also be missed by many friends, the list is too long to mention; three fury friends: Chloe, Oki, and Bubby, will also greatly miss their Rob – especially his “clo clo”

After Ryerson, Rob spent 12 years with the Toronto Musicians Association, followed by a successful career as a real estate broker. Rob was a compassionate, generous person – with a big heart and was loved by all; he was a former rugby player, an exceptional yachtsman, an accomplished pianist across many genres, performing at private clubs, on yachts, and not-for-profit events.
