It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Randy N. Asmundson, father, grandfather, and friend. On January 23rd, 2024 at the Regina General Hospital, Randy passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a short but strong battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Randy is survived by his three sons Ryan (Kelsi), Brett (Heather) and Austin (Justine) and his four grandchildren Raylin, Zachary, Luke, and Jacob. Born to Harvey and Jean Asmundson and the youngest of six boys, he is also survived by his brothers Garth (Coral), Keith (Karen), Blayne (Judith) and is now at peace with his parents, brother Nick (Connie) and Phillip Asmundson.
Randy spent his career as a public school teacher and for many years gave his time to all kinds of programs, organized sports, and community events. Whether it was helping organize the Terry Fox Run, track & field events, fundraisers, and coaching school sports teams to many championships at Robert Southey School or offering his time, knowledge, and skills to the community to Coach sports teams his three sons played on. His dedication and selflessness to everything he did always left a lasting impression.
A man that always put his family first, will be forever loved and dearly missed.
