Nancy Doreen Staples at the age of 89 passed away peacefully on April 28,2023 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina leaving an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her loved ones.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Clarence Staples, partner Randy Sidebottom, parents Peter and Pauline Kowalchuk, sons Murray and Orville, brother John, sisters Jenny and Gladys.
Born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba, Nancy later moved to Winnipeg, and then to Regina, where she made her final home. After leaving the farming community she took great pride in being a Health Care Aide at St. James Kiwanis Lodge until her retirement.
An avid socializer, Nancy had an infectious personality, and her warm smile could win anyone over. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and her home was always open to visitors. She enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, gardening, music, playing cards and board games with her loved ones. She loved all sports and was a die-hard fan of the Jays, Jets and Bombers.
Nancy's family was her pride and joy, and she leaves to cherish in memory her loving children – Lynn, Caroline (Sandy), Randy (Cheryl), Chris, John (Michele), Barry (Jodi), Dale (Tracy). Her kind and nurturing nature was instilled in her children, and they have carried it forward to their own families. Nancy was also blessed with a large family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she held close to her heart.
Although Nancy's passing has left behind countless memories of a life well-lived, she will always be remembered for her unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and the love she spread wherever she went. Her loss is immeasurable, but she will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her.
