Biography

LOCH, Michael Henry “Mike”
In loving memory of Michael Loch, born March 8, 1961, to Eveline and the late Guenter Loch.
Passed away peacefully Saturday Feb 3, 2024, at the age of 63.
Survived by his beloved Laurie, first mate of 36 wonderful years.
Proud father of Curtis (Kelly) and Rachel. Cherished Grampa of Lilly.
Survived by his sister Monica Tracey, his best brother-in-law Gary, nieces and nephews Derrick (Amanda), Jessica, Madison, Emilie, Alexander, Tonya, Crystal and Jay.
He will be dearly missed by his precious fur baby Leezl, his loyal companion plus grand puppies Biggie and Chunk.
His absence will also be heavily felt by super special friends the Tancredis, the McLellands and Fitzy.
Mike was a man of simple complexity. Steady as a rock, gentle as a breeze, deep as the sea and patient as a monk. He valued family and friendships above all else. His wife and children were the anchor for his heart and soul, kept safe and protected within the shield of his enormous wingspan.
He was respected as a man of integrity and honesty both in his personal and professional life. As an independent business owner (PROSSINC Ltd.) he excelled at providing his customers with up to date knowledge, support and expertise. His love of learning served him well in every facet of his life. He was both versatile and incredibly skilled. There was literally nothing he wouldn't try. He loved his projects, his vision so clear to him alone. He loved to survey his kingdom, both on the 'crick' and at the family cottage in Goderich. He was the go to guy in the neighbourhood, always eager to help out.
Mike was a natural adventurer. Whether navigating the waters on his boat (Waterloch'd), exploring the depths of the ocean as a scuba diver, or embarking on thrilling journeys, he embraced life with great enthusiasm. Mike leaves us with a legacy of courage and curiosity, so may his spirit continue to inspire and guide us all.
His warmth, wisdom, kindness and enduring love will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest peacefully, surrounded by the love in our hearts, gentled by waves and warmed by sunlight.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at South Port Sailing Club (210 Brighton Road, Tecumseh ON. (519)979-7772). Guests will be received at 11am. Memorial Tribute will begin at 11:30am with fellowship to follow until 2pm.
