The passing of Maurice Joseph Pitre, aged 61 of Fredericton, NB occurred peacefully and on his own terms on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Halifax Infirmary. Cremation has taken place.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna (Searle) Pitre and furry companion, Macy. He is survived by his father Andre of Bathurst, four brothers Henry (Mary Jane) of Bathurst, Ronnie (Marie-Josee) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Jean-Marc of Bathurst, and Michel (Debbie) of Bathurst, five sisters Suzanne (George) of Bathurst, Emily (Kenny) of Nigadoo, Mary May of Bathurst, Murielle (Roger) of Bathurst and Natalie of Bathurst. He was predeceased by his mother Angela in 2015.

He was a former member of the Kinsmen Club of Fredericton, and held several executive positions. He was a barber for over thirty years and owned Hashey's Barber Shop, downtown Fredericton from 1997 to 2018.

He loved cooking, baking, camping, playing cards, the Montreal Canadiens and spending time with friends. He will be missed by all who met him.

A Celebration of Life for Maurice will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Kin Club of Nashwaaksis, 141 School Street, Fredericton, NB between 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
