Laurine Emily Glover (Prue) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus in her 101st year. She was predeceased by her husband of 74 years, Clarence (Clare) Edgar Glover. She is survived by her children David (Young) Glover, and Janet (Sheldon) Button. She will be missed by her grandchildren Christian, Brett (Cory), Christopher (Tina), and Sabrina; and remembered by her great-grandchildren Abigail, Kaius and Kalise. She will be forever missed by her sisters Sheila and Cheryl, and was predeceased by siblings Herbert, Albert and Norma.
Laurine was born on June 1, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario to parents Norman and Margaret (Meadows) Prue. She and her beloved “Clare” were married on September 5, 1942. During her lifetime, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, crafts, cards, bowling and spending time with her family.
Laurine will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her generosity, her unwavering love for her family and those whimsical turns of phrase.
A Celebration of Laurine’s life will be scheduled to take place in Southern Ontario in the Spring.
