Laura Church 1971-2024




It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Laura Church on May 8, 2024. Laura was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of countless individuals with her unwavering love, compassion, and resilience.




As a devoted mother, Laura's world revolved around her children, Emily and Nyles. She cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing their dreams and supporting them through life's challenges. Her love knew no bounds, and her children will forever carry the warmth of her embrace in their hearts.




Laura's joy multiplied when she became a grandmother to her adored grandson, Matteus. The bond they shared was truly special, filled with laughter, storytelling, and endless adventures. Matteus will always treasure the memories of his loving grandmother, who showered him with affection and wisdom.




Beyond her role as a mother and grandmother, Laura had an incredible passion for creating art. Through her art, Laura found solace and a means to express the beauty she saw in the world, even during the most challenging times.




Laura's circle of friends was vast, a testament to her kind and non-judgmental nature. She had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering a listening ear and a comforting presence.


Although cancer altered the course of Laura's life, she faced it with remarkable strength and determination. Laura's resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her.




Laura's compassion extended far beyond her immediate circle. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, offering support and encouragement without hesitation. Her selflessness and empathy were truly remarkable, and we can all learn from the example she set.




Laura is survived by her loving children, Emily and Nyles; her son-in-law, Chris; her cherished grandson, Matteus; her devoted parents, Paula and Paul; her sister, Sarah; and her nieces and nephew. The love and memories she leaves behind will forever be etched in their hearts.




As we bid farewell to our dear Laura, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. 




Rest in peace, Laura. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.


Service to be held on Thursday, May 16th, at 3:00pm at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church, 626 Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton.
