Biography

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karyn Clendening on January 12th, 2024 at the age of 30 at her home in Port Colborne.


A loyal wife, dedicated nurse and lover of all things nature. Remembered best on the Bruce trails with her dog Moses in tote. Adventure in her soul a heart willing to listen and a hand extended to care. She was rich in love and life and made her presence known anywhere she went. Her smile, with dimples so deep could make you forget the whole world around you.


Karyn was the devoted wife of Brianne Caldwell and step-mother to Eva and Seth.
Born to her loving parents Richard Clendening and Lise Clendening (nee Simon) on May 8th, 1993 at the Welland County General Hospital. Forever cherished by siblings Eric Clendening and Christina Klassen and nephew Jacob Klassen, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, colleagues and friends who will remember her fondly.
Predeceased by grandparents Gordon and Connie Clendening and Marie- Louise Taylor; Karyn has gone to care for her loved ones once again.


Karyn's life was rooted in Niagara. In her early years she attended Alexander Kuska School then high school at Notre Dame College School and finished her career studies at Niagara College. Karyn was a woman of many accomplishments and a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse who spent her career passionately caring for patients at the Port Colborne Hospital. Karyn enjoyed spending time making memories with her wife, children and dog Moses. She loved to bake, cook and go on hikes and camping adventures.


A cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a future date.


A friendly face and compassionate heart, her presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
