Jill Welsford, a person of notable creativity, compassion, and love, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024 at the age of 77.

Jill’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of family, friendship, and a profound affection for her beloved Bearded Collies Meghan, Heather and Pearl.

Born in Vancouver on September 14, 1946, Jill was a kind soul who embraced life with an open heart and a generous spirit. She was a devoted family member and her friendships were a testament to her caring nature and loyal heart. She cultivated relationships that spanned decades.

A passionate advocate and dedicated member of the Bearded Collie community, Jill’s love for her dogs was unparalleled. Her Bearded Collies were not just pets but cherished family members who brought her immense joy and comfort. Jill’s involvement in the Bearded Collie community extended far and wide, where she forged deep connections with fellow enthusiasts who shared her passion. Her knowledge, kindness, and enthusiasm made her a beloved figure within this tight-knit group.

Jill leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity that will be missed by her family, friends, and the Bearded Collie community. She is survived by her brother Richard Welsford & Sister-in-law Barbara; Lindsay (niece), David (nephew) and his wife Natasha; cousins Tracy Welsford and Robyn, Randy, Ron and Todd Allan (Vancouver). Jill was predeceased by her mother Colleen (nee Yates) and father Bill Welsford. She also leaves behind long lasting family friends including the Spences, Gustavsons, Macgowans and Taylors, and all the Williams sisters. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
