Hugh Gunz (1945-2024) was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Professor, Mentor, Leader, Researcher and Teacher. He was born in England, spent his childhood in New Zealand, before returning to England where he finished his graduate work, met his wife of 52 years, started a family, and began his career. He moved to Canada over 30 years ago, laying down new roots with his family who, together, have extended their roots with new family, friends, community and places. He worked for the University of Toronto at the Rotman School of Management, and the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga for over 30 years, until his retirement. He was a gifted administrator, talented teacher, mentor and friend. He will be forever in the hearts of those who love him, as knowing and loving him has forever changed us.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a charitable donation be made in Hugh’s memory, to Nature Canada (https://naturecanada.ca/defend-nature/donate/) or the Red Cross (https://www.redcross.ca/).
