On May 18, 2023, our night sky gained a shining star, but the earth lost a wonderful soul. Heather Anne Crawford, mother to sons Matthew Navarra (wife Liane), Ryan Navarra (wife Amanda, daughter Izzy), and husband to Brad Hubley, passed away suddenly at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Heather loved her family more than life itself; she was so proud of the young men her sons had grown into, adored their wives and cherished her granddaughter. Words simply cannot convey how much this wonderful, loving woman meant to us and our hearts are heavy with grief over our loss. The love and support extended to us by family and friends is a testament to how much she was loved by them, and we feel their pain as deeply as we feel our own.

Heather's love for her family is evident by her taking early retirement to look after her own mom who was coping with the recent death of her husband of over 60 years. The two of them were an unstoppable force and always a joy to be around. Heather's sons and their wives were her best friends and she always looked forward to their sharing stories with her. Heather made time to see her friends on a regular basis and no journey was too long to take to visit them.

As we begin our own journeys to heal, please hug the ones you love, tell them you love them, and never stop telling them.

A Celebration of Heather's Life will be held at a future date.
