Gus was a brilliant, well read man. Gus really did have the answers to most problems. Born in Halifax, Gus met his love in Alymer and started picking tobacco as a young man, he soon learned that working with your hands wasn't his thing unless you were counting cash. Travelling throughout Southern Ontario as a happily married father of two, Gus thrived in various financial institutions which brought him to settle in Burlington. He then proceeded to Manage nursing homes eventually becoming president of the ONHA and helping oversee the construction of St. Joes Hospital in Hamilton and a Retirement Home in Kingston. Then the ride got pretty wild for Gus and his family when he decided to buy some land and develop 165 Condominiums. Gus was most interested in all Sports. Golf and Hockey he excelled in. Many will remember his great coaching abilities. When Gus danced with Ricky, it always made you cry. Gus was the most positive influence in our lives and he will be missed forever to anyone who knew him. There just isn't enough space on this page to describe what an amazing person he was. Loving husband to the late Ricky Walters, Wonderful father to David (Wendy) and Linda, proud grandfather to Jordan, Katie, Kyle, Morgan and Mitchell and Great grandpa to Evelyn and Heidi.
