Biography

Eva Jane Lehto (nee Tebbutt) passed away peacefully August 15th 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Vegreville Alberta April 5th 1929. Her adventurous spirit took her and her family to every corner of the province including: Perryvale, Taber, Crowsnest Pass, Springbank, Cochrane, Red Lodge, and finally Olds.
Eva’s dedication and passion were evident in her diverse career, with notable contributions to institutions such as Marshall Wells , The Edmonton Journal, The Glenbow Museum, along with several oil companies in downtown Calgary and the Foothills School of Nursing.
Devoted to her husband Harry for 62 years and their four sons Dale (Lou-Ann), Lloyd, Ross (Cheryl), and Craig (Donna). Eva’s legacy also lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Cole, Sam (Jessica) Becky (Kelly), Nicole, Noah, Paige and Tanner.
After Harry’s passing Eva continued living in their Olds condo, her fiercely independent lifestyle carried on for ten years up until her passing.
A celebration of life to commemorate Eva’s remarkable time with us will be held on August 20th 11:00am, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Olds Alberta.
