Edward Joseph Zeppa passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023.
An avid storyteller, Edward loved to regale his family and friends with tales from his careers at Christie’s Bread, IBM and as a teacher at the Toronto District School Board. Edward's stories often had sage advice and meaningful life lessons that reflected his ingenuity, generous spirit and humour that was well known to his family, friends, colleagues, and students.
A proud alumnus of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and Queen’s University, Edward was a lifelong learner.
Edward found solace near water, where sailing and fishing connected him with memories of his beloved son, David (1982 - 2004). Edward also enriched his life with antiquing, photography, great food and tinkering around his cabin on Lake Scugog.
Above all, Edward dearly loved his family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary. He will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his partner, Brenda, sister Vivian (John) and daughters Emily (Jawaid) and Victoria (Jordan). Edward was also a proud Grandpa to Idris and Florence. He will be held dear in the hearts of his bonus family, relatives, and many friends.
Edward lived his life embodying the words of Frank Sinatra, "… I've lived a life that's full, I traveled each and every highway and more, much more than this, I did it my way."
In accordance with Edward's wishes, he will be cremated with a Celebration of Life to follow later.
