On November 8th, Deirdre passed away at the age of 33 after a hard-fought battle with cancer this year. She is survived by her husband Josh, her beautiful 7-year-old son Levon, her sisters Alexandra and Eryn, her parents Maria and Gerry, grandparents Maria and Imre Maroti.
Deirdre was a great big cousin to Kensi, Sheri, Eden & Quinn - a niece to Zsuzsi (Durv) & Gabi (Michael).
She was and will continue to be a guiding light in the lives of so many people she touched. She was the best Mom to Levon and the best life partner to Josh.
She had the opportunity to impact the lives of so many through various jobs in her career. Over the multiple stints and years at Starbucks, she had the opportunity to hire and/or manage hundreds of people and truly impacted their lives with her leadership.
At Dark Horse, she got to meet some incredible individuals and live the life of the Toronto craft coffee scene in what was a fun environment at the time - we know she had a massive impact on the people she got to work with there as well.
When she entered the Cannabis industry she got to help launch a country-wide brand ambassador program and got to meet some really cool people across the country and surely impacted their lives as well.
This was a common thread with Deirdre (Dee to so many in the work-place) - she was a leader; thoughtful, kind and inspiring. She truly cared for all of her people. The world has lost an amazing human but her legacy will live on in those she was able to touch directly and indirectly.

While we are devastated that her life was cut so short by the awful cancer she had to deal with this past year, we will take comfort in knowing she is now pain-free and no longer suffering and that she was able to have so many members of her family around her as we said goodbye.
Much love to all of our family and friends who have provided us with so much love and support through all of this. Deirdre fought so hard and with such grace; may we carry that as inspiration for the rest of our lives.

A Celebration of Life will take place for Deirdre on Sunday Dec. 3rd, 2023.
It will be a drop-in event hosted from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at The Collective Workspace:
