At 67, David McMenemy passed peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton surrounded by his three kids, Skye, Hawke, Hunter, and their mother Denise. He was the oldest of six children and leaves behind his siblings Julie, Steve, Susan, Jeff, and Matthew. He left behind his partner, Cecelia, in Barbados where he spent the last few years getting to know her family and friends. His parents, Jean and Arthur McMenemy, were Irish Canadian and he was proud of his Irish heritage. David was born in Toronto and grew up around the Rouge where he spent many good times with his friends.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. David wanted to be remembered by raising a glass and having a good time sharing the fun and funny memories. His children are planning to spread his ashes between the Rouge and Ireland.
