Carl Neufeld passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 74. He is loved and missed by his wife, Brenda; son Jason of Kingston, Ontario, his wife, Robin and sons, Gregory, Alex, and Andrew; son Jeremy of Victoria, BC; daughter Anna of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, her partner, Mike and son, Byron; son Leigh of Medicine Hat, Alberta, his wife, Cindy and their daughters, Jorja, Samantha, and Danielle; and son Matthew of Brooks, Alberta.
Carl was born in Brooks, Alberta and grew up in Calgary. He was one of 11 children born to his parents, Peter and Sarah (both deceased). He leaves behind his sister, Irene; brothers Bud (Shirley), Jim (Karen), Rick (Judy), John (Lori), Jerry, Randy, Tom (Rhonda), and Stephen.
He was predeceased by his brother Dave (beloved husband of Audrey), his sister-in-law Shirley (beloved wife of Jerry), and his brother-in-law Art (beloved husband of Irene).
He is also remembered by his sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dennis) and Florence (Bruce) and numerous aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.
Carl was an artist in his soul, which he infused into the work he did as a carpenter. He taught carpentry at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology for five years and was a well-respected finishing carpenter and site-superintendent in Victoria BC overseeing multiple construction projects and renovations. He and Brenda retired to West Kelowna three years ago.
He was passionate about golf, which he shared with Brenda, his brothers, and his friends. The other woman in his life was Christine, his 1990 Silver Spur II Rolls Royce.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his loyalty to family and friends, and his love of golf, baseball, and hockey.
A memorial will be held in Redwood Meadows, Alberta at Redwood Meadows Golf Club, 2 Tsuu T’ina Drive on Sunday, June 2nd, starting at 2 PM.
