It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allan Keith Sherwood after a brief stay at the Palitive Care Unit of the VG Hospital Halifax with his family by his side.
Born in Windsor , he was the son of Herb and Doris Sherwood.
Allan is survived by his daughters Stephanie (Chris) Cluett and Patricia Sherwood (Dave Louks), his grandchildren Liam and Kaitlin who were proud to call him Grampie. He is also survived by his sister Joan Brown,
brothers Reid Sherwood ,Mike (Lynn) Wallace and Bill Wallace, many nieces and nephews as well as their families.
He spent many years of his childhood growing up on the Oland’s Farm, where his father worked as a caretaker. Allan enjoyed his career as a sheet metal worker doing heating and ventilation, working along side his brother Reid and making many life long friends along the way who meant everything to him. Lots of memories were made growing up in Sackville, living in Mount Uniacke, Windsor and then Halifax . His stroke in 2019 slowed him down but it was cancer he couldn’t beat . Special thanks to the team on 7A Palliative VG for showing such compassion and care it did not go unnoticed.
