Biography

Alexander Molotkow, (73), of Frankford Ontario, passed away on January 6th, 2024.

Alexander, known to many as Alex or Al, was born to Simon Alexander Molotko and Olga Molotko, on April 23rd, 1950 in Kitchener, Ontario. He was a man who wore many hats in his days, from professional chef’s hat, to a scuba suit, to a motorcycle helmet, but he was most proud to be a father and grandfather. If you had ever spoken to Alex, you had certainly heard about his children.

Al is survived by his children, Nikolas (Nik) Molotkow and Alayna Molotkow, his son and daughter, and their partners, Jenna and Jonathan, and grandchildren, Barrett and Dakota. He is survived by his brothers, Walter, Victor and George. Alex was predeceased by his wonderful wife, Sharon Molotkow (nee Christison), and both of his parents, Simon and Olga Molotko.

Alex’s heart belonged in the outdoors, surrounded by nature and water. He found a career with Parks Canada as a Lock Master that allowed his to spend his days outside, acting as steward to the lock station and surrounding area. He spent countless hours and built many of his most meaningful relationships while hunting, fishing, gardening, or just enjoying the outdoors. Alex will be truly missed by those he left behind.

Alex’s family will hold a Celebration of Life in the early summer . In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society in Alex’s name.
