Alan passed away at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on February 23, 2024 after a brief cancer illness. He was in his 69th year. He was predeceased by his parents Reginald Carroll and Inez Ader. Dedicated husband for 40 years to Janice (née Causey) and father to Joel (Lindsay) and Jennifer (Mark). Loving grandfather to Clark, Camryn and Fletcher. Remembered by his cousins Diane Nuttall (late Lloyd) and Wanda Parkes (Charles), and their families, as well as remembered by Janice's siblings, and his nephews and nieces. He was also a doting cat dad to Pippin, and the late Freckles and Athena.

Alan was born in East York and spent many childhood summers on the Carroll Family Farm outside Kingston. He had lived in Oakville with his family for 32 years. He will be remembered for many qualities, but his diligence in work and caregiving for family is especially notable, as well as his musical talent.
