In loving memory of Patricia Glen, beloved wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left this world peacefully, on Dec 15th, 2023 surrounded by her family.
As the eldest daughter of 13 children, Pat was born on January 28th, 1939 in Edmundston, New Brunswick. For over 20 years her home was in Mississauga and after raising her children, worked as a Manager of a Drug Store. In the early 80’s she remarried and made Burlington her home. She enjoyed hobbies like gardening, silk flower arrangements, baking the most delicious Christmas cookies and hosting family Sunday dinners. As an avid gardener, her gardens were filled with beautiful pink and lilac flowers.
Our mom was a devoted mother and proud of all children. As Nana she adored and loved all her grand-children and, great-grandchildren and will leave many cherished memories.
Pat was diagnosed with COPD and Congested Heart Failure her in early 70’s and as her condition took hold, she faithfully, did her breathing exercises and was determined not to give in. She was an advocate for COPD, recognized by her community was invited to speak to a group of doctors and surgeons about her determination and struggles.
The final months of her life, Pat was a resident at Extendicare Retirement Home in Burlington where her genuine compassion for others touched the lives of many of the residents and staff. In return, the care she received from the staff was received with much grace and appreciation. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff and residents for all their support and exemplary care.
Above all, Pat cherished her family and will be missed dearly by all,
