It is with heavy hearts that we convey Michael Wayne Donald Hubbert's sudden passing at the age of 70. Michael, ‘Mike,’ ‘Poppa Mike’, ‘Uncle Mike’ was the son of the late Ivan and Edna Hubbert, brother to Laurie and brother-in-law to Larry Windrem. He was born and raised in beautiful Orillia, Ontario.

Mike attended the University of Pennsylvania at 16 where he played Varsity hockey. He then adventured to Italy to play professional hockey and later attended the University of Waterloo for Grad school.

Mike is survived by his wife Patti (nee McClevis), son Andrew, daughter and son-in-law Daniella and Shawn Caskie, and two grandsons, Kian and Camden. He was a proud father and loved his family. He will be missed by many other family, friends and community members.

Mike was an accomplished businessman and leader. He was an avid golfer, Maple Leafs fan, Chelsea supporter and 3 time Fargo Hunt Camp horseshoe champion.

His later years were spent between Restoule with his extended family and his hometown of Orillia.
